in Fallbrook, Calif., after complications due to a stroke. She was

Hollister resident Jackie Belisle-Johnston died Friday, Dec. 19 in Fallbrook, Calif., after complications due to a stroke. She was 77.

She was born Dec. 22, 1925 in Garnett, Kan.

She was employed by Orange Glen High School in Escondido, Calif., as a counseling secretary. She retired in 1978.

Jackie enjoyed playing bridge and traveling. She was a member of PEO, League of Republican Women and other various clubs. She was a very giving person and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Beverly and John Lehr of Leawood, Kan.; son and daughter-in-law Brent and Melissa Belisle of Wildomar, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law Debra and Randy Bertuzzi of Bonsall, Calif.; stepdaughters and their spouses Kay and Jerry Fenton of Valley Center, Calif., Gayle Higby of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Karen Johnston of Port Orchard, Wash.; and grandchildren Chase Belisle, Gina Bertuzzi, Joy and Jarod Fenton, Amy Higby, and Laurel and Adrienne Hendrixson.

A private burial will be in Garnett, Kan.
