Leah Ann Ditter O’Donnell died at Hazel Hawkins Hospital in Hollister on September 2, 2009, she was 89.
She is survived by her husband Walter J. O’Donnell, her daughter Kay O’Donnell, her son Kent O’Donnell, her grandson Maclyn O’Donnell and sister Wilma Ditter.
Leah was born in Mckeesport, PA on March 6,1920.
She was a registered nurse in PA, NY, and CA and served overseas.
She was in the US Army Nurses Corp from August 1943 to March 1945.
She married Walter on September 8, 1944 in San Juan Puerto Rico.
Leah was an active member of the Hollister Methodist Church since 1985.
There will be a Memorial Service at the Hollister United
Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, 9/10/09 with
lunch to follow. Internment will be private.
