District Attorney Candice Hooper is seen in 2009 during a preliminary hearing in a case against a mother suspected of killing her young child.

The Koehler family would like to send out a most sincere thank you to the San Benito County Board of Supervisors for approving a generous budget to allow the District Attorney’s office to prepare for the parole hearing of Gustavo Marlow.
The district attorney and her staff spent an incredible amount of time and effort preparing for the hearing. Their tireless efforts were rewarded with the decision made by the parole board commissioner and his deputy that Gustavo Marlow would not be eligible for parole for another 15 years.
We would like to thank the Victim Witness Program for all of their planning, support, encouragement and most importantly, snacks for the hearing.
We would also like to thank the community of Hollister for their letters of support sent to the parole board and all of their prayers and kind wishes during this emotional time. There is something priceless about a small community.
