Federal spending is ‘irresponsible’
The Pinnacles National Monument has been looking into a visitor
center/office complex for decades. Now, during these horrible
economic times, the government is allocating up to $13 million for
a building that is not an urgent need for this community? I am
happy for the Pinnacles National Monument but very concerned about
all of this

stimulus

spending.
The current level of spending is irresponsible and outrageous.
We are spending trillions that we don’t have.
No country has ever spent themselves into prosperity.
I do hope that local contractors and businesses are stimulated,
albeit temporarily, by this windfall.
We can all wait for a multi-million dollar visitor center. Sure,
we’ll enjoy it, but is it really necessary right now?
