Thanks to hospital E.R.
It started as a matter of pride. At my age, I was proud that I
never had occasion to visit the hospital emergency room. Oops, I
forgot the time I fell out of a cherry tree. Oh well, that was
the

old

emergency room. This was the

new

ER, well equipped and efficient.
Just because I tripped on the curb in front of Ace Hardware and
hit the concrete, making my shoulder appear weird and causing a
considerable amount of pain, I arrived via the back door or ER
ambulance entrance, I was given front door

hospitality.

I welcomed the skillful, prompt staff ministrations directed by
Rebecca Jones, RN. I wanted anything and everything
– X-rays, blood draw, EKG, morphine – that would help this awful
situation in my shoulder. Dr. Gentsler accomplished that. He
skillfully manipulated and relocated my shoulder, thus ending my
agony.
Please, emergency room staff
– with the beautiful new facilities matching their beautiful
care – accept my humble gratitude. Thank you, EMT’s, for the
morphine you administered to help the unbearable pain.

Community helps San Juan Bautista library

The Library Auxiliary of the San Juan Bautista City Library wishes to convey their sincere thanks to the San Juan Bautista City Council, the San Juan Bautista Rotary, the Aromas Eagles, and to all of our patrons and community supporters for their generous contributions toward the purchase and installation of an emergency exit door in the adjunct conference room off the main library.

We invite all to visit the library to see the room which can now be used for book club meetings, tutoring, and other community gatherings. If you visit, be sure to check out the book offerings at $3 a bag!

Headline on Ridgemark story was misleading

What a terribly poor choice of words in the headline of Pinnacle’s Sept 30 issue. I’m speaking of the headline, “Ridgemark center gets reprieve”. The word “reprieve” implies that Ridgemark’s punishment is being delayed.

What is the punishment that’s being delayed?  What was Ridgemark’s crime deserving punishment?

It seems like the writer of this headline has a very biased regard for Ridgemark. The reader who only scans the headline would get a very negative impression of Ridgemark.
