Celebrate Public Lands
This Saturday I joined thousands of Americans across the country
in celebrating the 16th annual National Public Lands Day. The
National Environmental Education Foundation estimates that more
than 100,000 volunteers nationwide participated in this day by
working to make our national forest and monuments, wildlife refuges
and parks a better place: planting trees, repairing trails,
cleaning campsites and picking trash out of rivers and
wetlands.
For more than 100 years, America’s federal lands have helped to
shape our culture, economy and natural environment, giving us clean
water, air, magnificent places to play, and also providing refuge
for our nation’s most wondrous wildlife.

Family disagrees with verdict

Only in San Benito County do you go to jail for rape charges when there is no, I repeat, NO Hollister police reports, NO SBC Sheriff’s office reports, NO DNA reports ever filed, NO physical evidence documents, NO medical evidence and/or reports.

NO credible testimony!

So where is the proof?

He said, she said.

The truth about Obama is on the Web

Mel Tungate, I’d like to respond to your reference to my “equating the Democratic Party with socialism” (Pinnacle letters, DATE). It seems to me that most of the media is not broadcasting the same news information that I see on Fox News or read on the Internet.

I don’t quite understand how that can be because so much of today’s news is critical information that all citizens have the right to and should be aware of.

I will list just a few things that you and others may not be aware of because you may not surf the Internet or watch Fox News:

The Web site of Free Republic said in October 2008 that President Barack Obama admitted that he was drawn to Marxists during his college days and washingtonpost.com informed us that Obama and Bill Ayers lived close to each other in the Hyde Park area of Chicago and moved in the same liberal-progressive circles.

ABC News online said Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s pastor for the past 20 years at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, has a long history of what even Obama’s campaign aides conceded was “inflammatory rhetoric,” including the assertion that the United States brought on the 9/11 attacks with its own “terrorism.”

Is President Obama still selecting his friends so carefully? The following will point out just a few that he’s chosen to surround himself with now:

Van Jones, who recently resigned as the administration’s “Green Jobs” Czar. FreeRepublic.com reports that Jones, after being arrested during the Rodney King riots, called himself “a rowdy nationalist” who later became “a communist.” He was a co-founder of STORM, which held study groups on theories of Marx, Lenin and dreamed of a multi-racial socialist utopia.

David Freddoso, author of “The Case Against Barack Obama,” states that Obama’s science czar, John Holdren, was co-author of the textbook “Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment.” The book, Freddoso states, discusses compulsory abortion, sterilants in drinking water and government-required birth control, among other issues. Frontpagemagazine.com writes that Holdren is a globalist who endorses the “surrender of sovereignty” to a “planetary regimes.”

According to opposingviews.com, Obama’s regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein, “makes no secret of his coercive tactics to get Americans to eat less meat,” making meat more expensive to produce and harder for families to afford by using the Endangered Species Act.

Ezekiel Emanuel, Obama’s health czar, has written extensively about who should get medical care, who should decide and whose life is worth saving, according to ncpa.org, the National Center for Policy Analysis’s Web site.

These are just a few of Obama’s 32 czars, who answer only to the president. Do you see a problem with the “transparency” that we were promised? And this is only the tip of the iceberg. Here are a few more people you might want to look up: Dale and Wade Rathke, Jeff Jones, Carol Browner and Mark Lloyd.

Mr. Tungate, Fox News is the only news that seems to be covering the important issues. It’s been proven that the other stations are minimizing or completely ignoring these issues. Give me a call, I’m in the book. Maybe we can talk about the issues over a cup of coffee.
