Thanks to event management for donating leftover food
As a representative for the Homeless Coalition, but also as a
member of our community, I would like to acknowledge the extremely
generous donation of food made by those involved with the

Hot Cars and Guitars

event, including Mike and Shane Dwight and Culinary Coachs’
Gregg Denter.
With their event this past weekend at Bolado Park, they had such
an abundance of food left over that they did not want to go to
waste so I was contacted. Incredibly, it was around 150 lbs .of
meat, produce, sodas, ice cream, sandwiches, wraps and more.
With that much food we got a team together to bag, box and
distribute the food. We were not only able to feed the homeless,
but the residents at Emmaus House and the migrant camp on Southside
Road had as well.
This is what a community working together is all about and for
that, I just want to say a huge Thank You to the men that made it
possible.

Medical marijuana would serve the city better than guns

Thank God the good folks in my old hometown, Hollister are doing everything possible to prevent the medical marijuana store from dispensing some.

Praise the Lord the Hollister planning commission has approved a conditional use permit for a new firearm and ammo sales business with parking compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.

So who is more of a danger to society, some old dude smoking a joint or an old disgruntled guy in a wheelchair with lots of firearms and plenty of ammo?

I’d write more but I’ve got a bad case of the munchies.
