Gather Knowledge and Create ‘General Plan for Planet Earth’

Editor,

Through the years of recorded history we mortals have make many changes and made much progress. Some of it has been good progress; some of it has been faulty regress. These changes have been in all fields.

Thankfully much of the progress has been make in the solid fields of science, mathematics, physics, astronomy, geology, mineralogy, agriculture and many other basic fields in which the increase in knowledge benefits mankind, and most of those harvesting the increase are mortals less motivated by the desire for self-aggrandizement. They are mostly people interested in knowledge and facts of physics and natural laws.

It would be good if these people were assigned the vast project of ascertaining what necessary or pressing resources our total planet has, and how much is needed to continue our existence on this planet.

One of the greatest figures to be sought would be to determine what is the optimum population number for our small, green, well-watered and hospitable planet. We could call the project “The General Plan for Planet Earth.”

This project cannot be activated too early, and the presentation of the gathered information to all nations and peoples of the Earth, and their studying and acknowledging the figures would impress on all of us how our basic problems and needs are mutual. Hopefully it would unite us more and lessen our differences and wars.
