San Benito Aquatics traveled to Saratoga this past weekend to compete at the A+ long course meet hosted by Silicon Valley Aquatics.
Six swimmers from the Hollister team competed in different events. All swimmers needed to qualify with ‘A’ times or better in order to compete in this 50-meter long course meet. Most swimmers finished with personal best times, and one placed in the top eight in three events.
Blane Curtice, 15, placed fourth in the 50 free (27.32), set an SBA team record in the 100 breast (1:18.49) and placed sixth in the 100 fly with a personal best and SBA team record (1:07.37).
Brenna Carillo-Zazuetta, 13, swam a personal best in the 50 free (34.64). Hillary Ego, 12, swam personal best times in the 50 free (33.28), 100 back (1:29.13), 50 fly (40.78) and the 50 back (40.71).
Stephanie Ego, 9, finished with a personal best in the 50 back (46.99).
Kim Hulley, 10, received personal best times in the 100 free (1:27.49) and the 50 back (47.18).
The San Benito Aquatics Sea Dragons will be hosting a CVAL tri-meet on July 10 at the San Benito High School pool against the Gilroy Gators and Morgan Hill Makos.
