will be held on Saturday, October 29 2016 at 11 A.M. at Emmanuel Church in White Horse, South Dakota. On the afternoon of October 19, 2016, Lola Mae Packard passed away peacefully at Saint Louise Hospital in Gilroy, CA as a result of a massive stroke. Family surrounded Lola at the time of her passing; Lola was 85 years old. Lola Mae was born in Old Agency, South Dakota and she was the second child and first daughter of nine kids from Joseph and Myrtle Fiddler. She migrated to Morgan Hill in 1966 settling down to raise her family and was a resident for 50 years. Family meant the world to Lola and she was well k now to open her home to friends and family to stay as long as they wanted. Some stayed days, some stayed months, and some even stayed years. Lola loved to sew, and was well known for making star quilts for he loved ones. She enjoyed making large meals for anyone with an empty belly; her specialties were apple pie and Indian bread. Lola is survived by her remaining brother Joey, her four children Curtis, Loretta, Marylyn and Rick, thirteen grandkids, sixteen great-grandkids, and nine great-great grandkids. Flowers can be sent to the wake.
