The San Juan Bautista City Council spent its closed session Wednesday discussing the performance and possible removal of its city manager.

City Attorney George Thatcher said the board made “no action,” but that a result of the meeting would be released soon.

“There is nothing to report,” he said. “No action was taken, and I can’t say anything else about it.”

Thatcher continued: “Probably, something will get released soon.”

Julian has been in the city manager’s position since June 2008, when he was hired as an interim manager. After two years with the interim tag, Julian was promoted to the full-time city manager last year.

Mayor Andy Moore did not return calls following the meeting.

The clerk at San Juan Bautista City Hall on Thursday morning said Julian was in a meeting.
