Panelists answered the following:
San Benito High School’s principal has resigned and its superintendent’s performance was the focus of a special meeting Saturday. Are you confident in the current board’s ability to set direction for the district?
Ruth Erickson: Perhaps the high school board of trustees should go back to Robert’s Rules School to relearn the rules of leadership, transparency and oversight. Resignations of a coach and the principal and with the superintendent in the hot seat, all leading to turmoil in the leadership of the school, students, staff and the public need to see that the elected board can be responsible and responsive to calm the situation and deal with any morale issues.
