San Benito County supervisors Tuesday are set to vote on accepting 5 percent pay cuts to their salaries.
Supervisors have signed the required waivers to reduce their pay, slightly more than $40,000, for the fiscal year starting in July, according to a staff report for the 9 a.m. meeting at the County Administration Building, 481 Fourth St. The move, similar to actions made the past couple years during the down economy, is estimated to save close to $13,000 for the fiscal year.
County Administrative Officer Rich Inman was not available to elaborate on the staff report Monday. It is unclear whether other elected officers are accepting the same waivers.
