Sheriff’s office accuses male, 16, of robbing market

The sheriff’s office made an arrest of a 16-year-old accused in a January armed robbery at Hillcrest Market.

The robbery occurred at 5:20 p.m. Jan. 22 at Hillcrest Market, 1331 Hillcrest Road and it involved a handgun.

After questioning witnesses, the sheriff’s office developed leads and identified a suspect before arresting him, a 16-year-old male, at a home on El Toro Court in Hollister.

The suspect was arrested and transported to juvenile hall, according to the sheriff’s office.
