Holidays are almost here in South County
Yikes! I just realized there’s only one more week till Christmas
Day! I hope your all more prepared than I am. I still haven’t
finished my shopping yet, let alone wrapping, baking and cleaning
for our annual Christmas Eve party. I love the holiday season but I
sure wish I took after my mom in the preparation department.
Birthday wishes go out to my youngest, Brody, who turned 14
years old on Dec. 13. Geez, time sure flies by when we’re having
fun! We celebrated at his favorite restaurant, The 19th Hole, last
Sunday evening with my parents, then had a nice family dinner on
Monday. Happy Birthday, Brody. I love you!

The students from Bitterwater Tully School went on a field trip to Bourdet’s Christmas Tree Farm on Tuesday. There, they took a hay-drawn wagon ride through the forest and also walked through the Christmas Trivia portion of the farm. They all had a great time and John and Tina were wonderful hosts. The kids were sure wound up about their trip the next day on the bus.

The Bitterwater Tully School Christmas concert and potluck will take place on Friday evening at Tully Hall. The evening will begin at 6 p.m., starting with the concert, followed by a potluck and ending with a visit from the big guy in red. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

Many South County folks spent a few days in Vegas last week for the National Finals Rodeo. It’s a tough time of year for Todd and I to get away so we rarely get to go with everyone. Some of those enjoying a few days of fun there included the Sabin Family, Hec and Kasey Hurley, John and Kyla Rianda, the Bell Family, Kenny and Valerie Reed, Andy and Tamra Barrington and J.W. and Candace Brewen, just to name a few.

According to the recent weather reports, sounds like we better all batten down the hatches as a lot of wet weather is headed our way. Just in time for Christmas, too!
