 Sylvester “Babe” Heinberg passed away on June 21, 2014 at his home in Agoura Hills, CA at 94. He was born in Yaak, MT on September 10, 1919, and honorably served as a Technical Sergeant in WWII.
 Babe married his high school sweetheart and wife of 65 years, Betty (Spencer).
 He earned a B.S., a Master’s, and a doctorate all at USC, and played guard in the 1946 Rose Bowl. Professional accomplishments included assistant football coach at USC; coach and Director of Athletics at San Bernardino Valley College; and Dean of Instruction at Gavilan College in Gilroy, CA. Also had a 40-year second career in real estate.
 An avid athlete, Babe maintained his workout regime until the end of his life.
 Predeceased by wife Betty, his parents, and his brother Wolf Heinberg.
 Survived by daughter Susan Heinberg-Moore, son Craig Heinberg and wife Diane, all of Agoura Hills; and two grandchildren, Kristin Heinberg of New York, NY and Ryan Heinberg of Santa Barbara, CA.
