Today is the last day to register to vote in California for the Nov. 4 election.
Eligible residents must do so at the elections office or electronically before midnight. The county elections office is open until 4 p.m. and will be closed from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch.
According to a statement from Angela Curro, assistant clerk-auditor-recorder:
New voters have until midnight on Monday to register to vote, which can be completed online at registertovote.ca.gov.
Paper registration forms can be obtained at most post offices, libraries and city halls throughout California. Contact your local elections official for further information or for hours of operation.
When: Deadline is Monday, October 20, 2014 at 11:59 p.m.
Where: Online or at your local Registrar of Voters, or most post offices, libraries and city halls throughout California.
How: Any eligible citizen may register to vote online at registertovote.ca.gov.
