In 2008, Valdivia showed off one of the wigs available at a wig bank at Jovenes de Antano, where she has been executive director for many years.

Pauline Valdivia said goodbye Monday after 16 years on the Hollister council.
The District 3 councilwoman finished her fourth and final term on the council, as she had chosen not to run again in November.
Valdivia called her tenure a “long haul.”
“There was good times, rough times, but there was also good times, happy times,” she said. “I just want to tell the council I really am going to miss you.”
She said she loved working with other council members and employees.
“I really appreciate all the employees,” Valdivia said. “I always advocate for all the employees of the city.”
She said she expects to continue working at her permanent job, as Jovenes de Antano executive director, for another four or five years. She said in May, it will be her 40th year on the job there.
“We’re going to be seeing great things in the future,” she said of the two incoming council members, her successor Mickie Solorio Luna and Karson Klauer in District 2.
