After falling to Carmel Tuesday in four sets, the Anzar girls volleyball team rebounded on Thursday with a three-set win (25-10, 25-20, 26-24) against visiting Gonzales in San Juan Bautista.

Sydnee Masuen had a team-high 13 assists, six digs and five service aces for the Hawks, who improve to 7-5 in the Mission Trail Athletic League.

Alex Flores added 12 assists, four service aces, 3.5 blocks and a team-high nine kills, while Brittany Hogeman contributed seven kills and both Jessica Frusetta and Nicole Seymour added four service aces apiece.

Anzar takes the season series against Gonzales after having previously defeated the Spartans in four sets on Oct. 5.
