 W. E. “Ed” Kutz passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, May 26, 2013, at the age of 90 years. Ed was a native of Coplay, PA and had been a Hollister resident since 1947.

 A Navy Veteran of WWII, having served in the Pacific Theater. As a Train Conductor for Southern Pacific Railroad, he covered the whole state of California for 42 years. Ed was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Knights of Columbus, United Transportation Union Alumni Assn., American Legion, SIRS, past member of Palma & Notre Dame Parents Clubs, past member of the Elks; he was also a member of the World War II Memorial Society and served as a Board Member and Volunteer of the Hazel Hawkins Hospital Auxiliary.

 Ed is survived by his children Eddie (Rita) Kutz of Arroyo Grande, Martha (Bob) Peerson of Fresno, and Bobby (Mary) Kutz of Hollister; his sister Elizabeth (Vince) Gillespie of Bethlehem, PA; sister-in-law Margaret Corotto of Sonora; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nehews.

 He was pre-deceased by his wife Helen and son Bill.
