Wake up, America. Millions of jobs have left the state last year with millions more this year. California has a new governor because of the state’s financial problems due in part by business leaving the state along with all their jobs.

President Bush should wake up. He will find also that the barrel is empty. California always takes the lead, and then the problem works its way to the East Coast with the recovery returning from the East.

The most disturbing thought about outsourcing is America’s baby boomers have become comfortable, fat and lazy. To them, it is too easy to buy the products without a thought. Is that product their buying made by children in another country where there is NO protection from abuse? Or are there any standard hours versus overtime regulations, etc.?

I have heard it said that it is more important to have the so-called lower cost of products. This is why there is outsourcing with corporations now overseas in foreign countries paying no taxes and/or tariffs to America for taking the job out of this country. This is not isolationism. It is called pay your rightful share or don’t do business in this country.

Outsourcing will take away the middle class which was entrenched by a great generation during World War II. Industry is not making hamburgers, working in retail stores or a service company. Who is going to be paying the taxes that government thrives on?
