pitch or putt, you need to have

soft hands.

If you are trying to hit a “soft” pitch or putt, you need to have “soft hands.”

That means no white knuckles!

If you hold the club too tight, the ball will tend to jump off of the club face too quickly.

You need to have a little “give” with the shot to get the soft reaction. This is particularly true when faced with a downhill chip or slippery putt.
