Elizabeth Martinez held a three-vote lead in the race for a Hollister School District seat after the elections office released its latest count Friday.
Martinez as of Friday’s count led Ben Flores by a margin of 20.48 percent to 20.46 percent, or 2,815 votes to 2,812 votes. They were trailing the leading vote getter to this point, Michael Keith, who had 20.6 percent with 2,835 votes, according to the preliminary results.
After Election Night, Martinez had maintained a one-vote lead.
They are running for two, four-year seats on the Hollister School District Board of Trustees. The two others in the race include Dee Brown, who had 19.8 percent with 2,720 votes, and Judi Johnson with 18.3 percent and 2,513 votes.
It is unclear how many ballots are left to count or report. The office has said they expected about 18,000 ballots, while the latest results show a total of 15,098 ballots reported as counted.
In the race for two, two-year seats, Lupe Navarro had 36.1 percent of the vote and Pat Moore had 30.4 percent. In third, Randall Wilks had 20.2 percent. Melissa Constantine had 12.7 percent, according to preliminary results.
