People in Hollister felt a magnitude 4.4 earthquake in the Central Valley on Sunday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake was reported at 1:45 p.m. It occurred near Paicines and was reported officially being 25 miles south of Dos Palos, which is about 70 miles from Hollister. Residents here, though, reported feeling the quake, according to the USGS.
The earthquake was at a depth of 4.8 miles, according to the USGS. It had the impact of a slow roll in Hollister.
People reported feeling it as far north as Mariposa and as far south as San Luis Obispo, according to the USGS.
