The pot holes on Browns Alley have been filled

City public works crews recently filled a slew of potholes along Browns Alley near downtown Hollister after a resident had expressed concern to the Red Phone.
The reader called the Red Phone and complained about all the potholes in the alley, saying they created a safety hazard for drivers.
Hollister public works official Marcelo Orta said the city fixed those potholes last Friday afternoon. He said there were “quite a bit of them,” but they are now all filled.
Orta said it is difficult to provide proper maintenance for roads, considering dwindled resources, so alleys can be difficult to address. He said there are usually “target alleys” the city takes care of every year.
