Your putting stroke should be like your signature. When signing your name, you write with a flow and confident stroke. You do not worry if you are spelling your name wrong. Each signature takes the same amount of time and usually without much thought to it.
Your putting stroke should have some of the same characteristics as your signature. Turn off all those unnecessary thoughts while putting – especially negative thoughts.
You should always know you can repeat your stroke like you repeat your signature. If your signature becomes mechanical, you’ll probably only print your name. It’s the principal on the golf course.
When putting, it’s important to stay on the line like it’s as simple as writing your name on a line.
It should come down to a reflection of confidence and trust.
Your putting stroke does not need to be like everybody else’s. There are many signatures with many different styles. As a golfer, you need to set yourself up to have natural putting stroke that fits you the best.

Chipping out of longer grass
As we move towards winter, now is the time to practice chipping out of longer grass. Nothing makes grass grow faster than rain water. So during these times the grass may be longer near the greens and golf balls can become harder to hit.
To prepare for this change, practice using the sand wedge around the green with your bunker swing. Open the face of your sand wedge slightly and swing through the ball like a bunker shot. Opening the clubhead will create more bounce on the sole and prevent the grass from grabbing the clubhead as easily.
You will need to swing a little stronger through the grass so the ball will come out a little higher with less backspin.
