its new promotion, and owner Josh Watt compared it to the Groupon
model
– but for solar installations.

Hollister-based Watt Electric has started a new solar-power promotion in an effort to reduce costs for homeowners who pool together for the service.
The business located at 601 McCray St. #204 has started offering its new promotion, and owner Josh Watt compared it to the Groupon model – but for solar installations.
With three or more properties taking part, the business is offering a 10 percent discount on solar installation. But Watt also noted that the customers theoretically would save more money through local, state and federal credit programs as well. He estimated users could save around $2,500 to $3,000 altogether.
Watt also emphasized that the business uses one manufacturer, Solar World, which makes its panels in Camarillo. He said it is the largest solar-only company in the world.
