The quake hit two miles north of Aromas and 14 miles west/northwest of Hollister, according to the survey’s website. It was 3.3 miles deep, according to the USGS. It happened at 5:51 p.m.

A San Benito County sheriff’s dispatcher said there were no reports of damage from the quake.
