The Central Coast Barnstormers opened their 2009 campaign with a convincing 43-29 victory over the Central Valley Rams in Lodi last Saturday.

It was Central Coast’s inaugural game in the Northern California Football League.

The Barnstormers (1-0) will now visit the Pacifica Islanders this Saturday, March 21, at Terra Nova High School. Kick-off is at 5 p.m.

The Islanders, the only team in the NCFL that gets compensated to play, are the defending national champions. The game will be televised on Comcast SportsNet.

Central Coast will have their home opener in Week 3, on March 28, when it hosts the Bay Area Buccaneers at 2 p.m.
