New owners take over Mariposa Tax Service
On Tuesday, new owners of Mariposa Tax Service Joel Ramirez and
Esther Martin reopened the business after it had been closed for a
few months. They are taking over for the previous owners, who moved
to Colorado, said Ramirez, who is the brother-in-law of one of the
two prior co-owners.

On Tuesday, new owners of Mariposa Tax Service Joel Ramirez and Esther Martin reopened the business after it had been closed for a few months. They are taking over for the previous owners, who moved to Colorado, said Ramirez, who is the brother-in-law of one of the two prior co-owners.
Ramirez and Martin are bringing 17 years of experience to the business, which they plan to keep running as it was before, aside from adding payroll tax to the list of services offered. The two owners have been running a similar business in Watsonville for that amount of time, Ramirez said.
Aside from payroll tax, Mariposa also offers the basics such as income tax, electronic filing and sales tax services, he said.
The two new owners took over Sept. 1, but had to get the operations in order before opening this week. The hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
