Every time I play I am amazed at what club some golfers will use for certain shots. Without being right next to you for every shot, I would like to give you some quick advice to help around the greens.
Never use a sand wedge when you have a great amount of room to land and roll the ball up to the flag. Only use a sand wedge when you need the ball to drop and stop very quickly.
Never use a low-lofted club on a downhill shot. But definitely use a low-lofted club on an uphill chip; this way the ball can bounce and roll up to the hole.
Check the conditions around the green. Is it firm or soft? Don’t automatically assume that every shot is going to be the same every time. For the most part, use some common sense and the theory of gravity and you will improve your score.
