Nobody injured, no suspects in reported crimes
A pair of unrelated shootings occurred over the weekend, while nobody was injured and police have no suspects after getting reports from citizens of the crimes.

One of the shootings was reported about 8:30 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of Buena Vista Road. The other was reported about 7 p.m. Saturday at Line and Paradot streets near R.O. Hardin School.

Saturday’s shooting involved two suspects, one on foot and the other driving a silver Cadillac, said officer Rosie Betanio, spokeswoman for the Hollister Police Department. Witnesses reported that the two opened fire at each other and immediately fled the area. Police recovered no evidence and had no leads after they conducted witness interviews in the neighborhood, Betanio said.

Friday’s shooting involved an unknown number of suspects who fired about seven rounds into a 1985 El Camino, police said, but it’s unclear if the vehicle was parked or driving at the time or even whether prospective victims were inside.

Police haven’t found any suspects or the car’s owner, Betanio said, and police are unaware of any injuries related to it.

Anyone with information relating to these crimes should call the Hollister Police Department at 636-4330.
