Water leak

A leak to a service line connected to a water main downtown caused needed repairs and a closed-off main street Monday.
City officials closed San Benito Street and redirected traffic at Fifth and San Benito streets Monday and expect to close the road to traffic Tuesday for repairs, said David Rubcic, a city engineering official.
It is less damaging than a full main break experienced on San Benito Street at varying locations over recent years. This was a leak from the main line to the meter that actually services the property, Rubcic said.
