A misplaced water works show
Each afternoon at 2 p.m., the city puts on a water works display
at the corner of Cerra Vista and Union roads. But it certainly
isn’t intentional. That’s when the sprinklers go off in a planter
in front of a sound wall and one of the sprinkler heads has been
malfunctioning for at least a month.
A misplaced water works show
Each afternoon at 2 p.m., the city puts on a water works display at the corner of Cerra Vista and Union roads. But it certainly isn’t intentional. That’s when the sprinklers go off in a planter in front of a sound wall and one of the sprinkler heads has been malfunctioning for at least a month.
The broken sprinkler gushes water into the surrounding dirt, but it overflows onto the sidewalk and into the street, causing a hazard for passersby as well as wasting water.
The Public Works department is responsible for maintaining sprinklers on city property, including the planters along sound walls. When notified of the sprinkler, office staff said they would notify Maintenance Supervisor Marcelo Orta of the problem.
