The ‘Baler Cheerleaders had plenty to cheer about Friday at San Juan Oaks Golf Club. The ‘Baler Cheer Golf Tournament, the team’s primary fundraiser, brought home proceeds of about $13,000, the most successful event to date. “We’re very, very happy with that,” said Trina Antoniono, the San Benito High School Spirit Squad Booster President.
“We’re very appreciative to all of the sponsors, everyone that donated to the auction and the golfers. And I think everyone had a good time.”
The ‘Baler Cheerleaders are preparing for San Benito’s football opener at Aptos on Sep. 1 and their own competition at Santa Cruz on Sep. 23.
