Regarding the column “My mom, not Cindy Sheehan, is Bush’s biggest problem,” wow, my family is old-school Republicans from Filmore.
My great grandfather use to run the pool hall downtown and he moved there in 1910 from Texas. My mother, who now resides in Ojai, was a hardcore Republican. I was was stunned when she told me she had reregistered as a Democrat just prior to the past election. Now she is the Republicans’ worst enemy and almost comes to tears when she discusses the Bush administration and their policies. Hopefully change is in the air. Thanks for the interesting story.
