LULAC’s recent forum to educate people regarding the upcoming election, and the importance of each individual casting their vote, was certainly needed and is an encouraging step in the right direction.

As reported, the county auditor’s office is very short of poll workers for the November election, and is going to conduct a campaign to solicit bilingual workers.

Since LULAC has been very vocal in the past regarding the lack of Spanish speaking poll workers, this is a golden opportunity for Mickie Luna to step up and volunteer and to encourage officers and membership to work the polling stations and assist and support Hispanic voters.
