An open letter to Gov. Schwarzenegger:

Congratulations on winning the governorship for the State of California. We are so proud to have a fiscally responsible person once more leading the state.

The platform you stood on was so refreshing. No raise in taxes, no more over-regulation of business, your affirmative stand on Proposition 13, and auditing the books was a brilliant idea that was long over-due.

Holding this body of elected officials accountable to the taxpayers and to a budget is just what the people of California want to hear from you.

Changes need to be made and if these good old boys won’t play ball with you, remember that the people of California will listen to you if you tell them problems when they come up. They will raise such a ruckus that their legislators will have to listen. The voice of the people in California has finally been heard and they called for the “common sense man” Arnold.

We are very lucky a sound businessman like you was able to step forward to help turn California around. We hope you can do it, we pray you can do it – just remember you are not alone. The people are behind you.

Again, Congratulations.

John and Karen Kennedy,

San Mateo
