Who owes who an apology?
Race baiting has been a GOP tradition for more than 80 years.
More recently, the GOP has intensified this strategy with the
southern strategy aimed at African-Americans and its open hostility
toward Hispanics in California.

To suggest Gov. Gray Davis apologize for his crack in reference to the Terminator’s pronunciation of California is silly and indeed hypocritical.
Ironically, Arnold does pronounce California as it should be pronounced in Spanish. Lets face it, if Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante had Arnold’s heavy accent, his opponents would use it as a primary criticism.
The GOP should apologize to Hispanics for its reluctance to support just about every piece of legislation and programs aimed at helping Hispanics, especially in regards to the improvements in health services, education and working conditions in the fields.
Arnold believes undocumented workers provide a much needed service to our economy. However, he would repeal the legislation that permits them to get a driver’s license. I guess he wants farm workers to take public transportation to pick the crops.
He should reverse his position and apologize for pandering to the extremists in the GOP. To his credit, he is opposed to Proposition 54. The GOP on the other hand has endorsed this proposition and should also reverse its position and apologize for not doing its homework.
If I have offended any of you, an apology is in order.
We as Democrats and Republicans often are not responsible for the positions party leaders take on propositions and legislation.
The above comments are aimed at these leaders and not at the electorate who is too dammed detached from political reality to keep them in check.
