Since the Free Lance does not publish a Monday paper for Hollister delivery, any events that happen on Saturday and Sunday or early Monday morning are old news by the time the paper is delivered on Tuesday.

This time I’m referring to the news story of the hit and run fatal accident that happened on Hwy. 156 on a recent Sunday morning. I had many questions.

1. Did they catch the person driving the white Celica that caused the accident?

2. How did the accident happen?

3. From the KSBW Channel 8 News broadcast early Monday morning, I know two of the victims were Ernie Andrade and Mary Lou Andrade.

I listened to KSBW Channel 8 News broadcast again Monday night to get more details. By the time I got the Free Lance on Tuesday, this was old news.

The decision to not print a Monday paper leaves out a lot of up to date information.

I’ve subscribed to the Free Lance for many years and am very disappointed in the lack of current news information.
