Dear Editor:
The opinion page of Monday’s Free Lance presented a clear case of cause and effect.
At the top, “Schools face turmoil” described the coming chaos in our schools caused by Gov. Gray Davis’ ineptitude, while a guest editorial at the bottom of the page detailed the fiscal failures of the Davis administration.
Two months into the emergency session of the state legislature, we have yet to see any concrete action to avoid the looming budgetary train wreck in Sacramento.
Under Gov. Davis, the Democrats, who control the legislature and hold all state constitutional offices, increased state spending by 39 percent in four year, bringing this disaster upon us. Cause and effect.
I urge all voters to recall Gray Davis.
