Project Linus: Project Linus San Benito Chapter is celebrating National Blanket Day on Saturday, Feb. 21 at the United Methodist Church, 521 Monterey Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hand made blankets, yardage goods and yarn will be collected. Project Linus gives security blankets to children in San Benito County who are seriously ill or traumatized. For more information, call Sheron Johnson at 831-637-2971.

Wheels of Justice: The Wheels of Justice bus tour will be coming to Hollister on Friday, Jan. 16 to give eyewitness reports from Iraq and Palestine/Israel. Youth Football: Signups for Hollister Pop Warner are by mail this year. Each applicant must submit a registration form and $50 deposit along with other required paperwork. Total fees this year are: football $175, cheer $125.

Registration forms can be downloaded at www.eteamz.com/HollisterPopWarner/ or can be picked up at San Benito Chamber of Commerce, 350 San Benito Street or Hollister Recreation Division, 300 West Street.

Signups are completed on a first come, first served basis.

Monterey Park: State Park volunteers are needed at Monterey State Historic Park. A month-long training class starts Monday, Feb. 23. Classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. For more information or to receive an application, call Jeanie Sturges at 831-649-7118. Farming Conference: An ecological farming conference will be held Wednesday, Jan. 21 to Jan. 24 at Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove. 10 Mile Run: The 21st annual Mission 10 will be held Saturday, Feb. 7. YMCA Fit Kids: Ages 5-12 starting Tuesday, Jan. 13 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

YMCA Move and Groove Together: Ages infant-5 starting Wednesday, Jan. 14 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Children learn to connect with music, movement and learning.

YMCA Little Leaders: Ages 3-5 starting Tuesday, Feb. 3 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. This program offers children a chance to grow, learn, explore and develop in mind, body and spirit.

Measure G Forums: Two public forums will be held on Measure G. A panel of presenters will share their views on the growth control measure appearing on the March 2 ballot. The forums are sponsored by the San Benito Agricultural Land Trust.
