early days in San juan: San Juan Bautista State Historic Park’s annual “Early Days in San Juan” will be held from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. Saturday June 19 at the park. The one day event will showcase 19th century customs and culture with living history demonstrations and activities put on by State Park volunteers and docents. victorian ball: The Plaza History Association presents its annual Victorian Ball from 7 to 11:30 p.m on June 19 at the San Juan Bautista State Historic Park. GUEST SPEAKER: The Hollister Airmen’s Association invites all aviation enthusiasts and history buffs to “From Crop Duster Pilot to Crop Duster Manufacturer.” Speaker John Weatherly will tell his story of how he transitioned from from a flying crop duster to a manufacturer from 1961 to the late 1980s at 7 p.m. June 17 at San Benito Land and Trust across from Gold’s Gym on Tres Pinos Road. CLEARVIEW DRIVE-SPEED HUMPS: The City of Hollister has installed a series of Speed Humps on Clearview Drive between Meridian Street and Hillcrest Road.
