HOLLISTER
– The Hollister Weight Watchers group is participating in
the

Lose for Good

campaign that launched nationally this week. For eight weeks,
the company has committed to donate $1 for every pound Americans
lose, up to $1 million dollars.

We exceeded this commitment last year and hope to do so
again,

said Ruth Mendes da Costa, in an e-mail.
The local Weight Watchers members have committed to donating a
pound of food to Community Food Bank (formerly Community Pantry)
for each pound lost. The group will be building a food pyramid with
the donations on site, at 321 San Felipe Road, over the next few
weeks.

We hope to collect enough food for the pyramid to reach the
ceiling of our meeting room,

da Costa said.
