New spin facility opens on McCray Street

Carolyn Homan has opened a spin facility in Hollister on McCray Street. Live to Cycle is the only Official Spin® Certified Studio within a 40-mile radius, according to livetocycle.com, which has information on the new business and its owner.

The studio at 193 McCray St. focuses on the exercise spinning, which involves a less impacting form of stationary cycling spinning, created in 1989. Live to Cycle notes that it is one of 30,000 official spin facilities worldwide, and the form of training is welcome to all fitness levels.

There are spin classes Monday through Saturday at the facility, but there is no set schedule each week. A calendar with class times is posted, and riders can sign up for them online. Additionally, each ride completed from Oct. 1 thru Oct. 31 enters people into a drawing for a prize, while there will be a Halloween Night Ride from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 27. For information on the business, call 207-2497.
