Burger Hut becomes a ‘Factory’
A local business recently changed from a hut to a factory, and it didn’t involve any physical expansion. The Burger Hut restaurant at 125 San Benito St. recently changed its name to the Burger Factory due to the original title being a registered trademark elsewhere, according to the business owners, Jin and Kum Hyun.
The restaurant – which serves anything from mushroom, jalapeno or bacon burgers to teriyaki items that include such offerings as a teriyaki bowl, a teriyaki burger and a teriyaki beef sandwich – opened in October near downtown.
Along with the name change, the owners also changed the corporate title to J&K Burger, Inc.
