The Rock Guitar Club will host its annual Yule Benefit Concert in the SBHS Auditorium Nov. 20, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Anticipate great performances from Fugu, Easy Company, One Direction, Burned on the Stake, In Search of Oblivion, Tragic Comeback and The Splitz. The North Monterey County High School band will host a fundraiser, Bella Notte, a gala night of all things Italian, Nov. 20, at Embassy Suites Monterey Bay in Seaside. Battle of the Blues Bands
The Monterey Bay Blues Festival will hold a Battle of the Blues Band Competition Nov. 21, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Monterey Room, of the Monterey County Fairgrounds, 2004 Fairgrounds Road. ‘La Virgen del Tepeyac’
El Teatro Campeisno’s holiday production ‘La Virgen del Tepeyac’ runs Nov. 26 through Dec. 19 at the Playhouse in San Juan Bautista, 705 Fourth St. This play dramatizes the four apparitions of Our Lady Of Guadalupe to Juan Diego, who took a message from the Virgin to the bishop to build a temple in her honor on Tepeyac hill. The play is largely in Spanish with some dialogue in Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs. It also includes librettos in English. The play is highlighted with vibrant music and Aztec dance. Winter Dance Concert
The Winter Dance Concert, “Dancing thought the Decades,” will be held Dec. 1-3 at 7 p.m. at San Benito High School in the auditorium. More than 200 students, who are involved in clubs and classes, will be performing 25 different acts that follow dance and music through the decades. The 5th Annual Holiday in Lights Parade starts at 5:30 p.m., at the San Juan School. The parade will continue from Nyland Drive, down Third Street to Tuahalami Street, up Second Street to Franklin Street and then back to Third Street. Santa will be on site to meet with children and take pictures. A Holiday Merchants Open House will take place during the event, which is sponsored by the Rotary Club of San Juan Bautista.
