Clapham Classic/Baler Tourney
The Clapham Classic/Baler Tourney is June 18, with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. at Bolado Park Golf Course, 7777 Airline Hwy., in Tres Pinos. Memorial Roping
The San Benito County Saddle Horse Show & Rodeo events continue. A memorial roping event will be held June 18, at 9 a.m., free to spectators. On June 19, there will be figure-8 roping eliminations, free to spectators. June 23 will be the Saddle Horse Parade in downtown Hollister, at 6 p.m. June 24 will have a variety of events, including the horse show and rodeo at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for toddlers through 11-year-olds. The rodeo continues June 25 and 26, at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $4 for kids. Other attractions include a Kids Corral, the Association Museum and a rodeo clown. Kite Day
Pacheco State Park will host the 10th annual Kite Day June 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Everyone who flies a kite will receive a souvenir Kite Day button. There will be other activities such as make your own kite, face painting, a pie-eating contest and a bubble gum blowing contests. There will be nature tables and crafts. Families are encouraged to bring a sturdy kite, hats and/or sunscreen, drinking water, lawn chairs and a picnic lunch. Hot Dog Heaving will be available for purchase of lunch. Mission Fiesta
The Old Mission San Juan Bautista will host its annual fiesta honoring St. John the Baptist, June 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the olive grove adjacent to the mission. The event includes a chicken barbecue for $10 a plate provided by the San Juan Service Club, as well as bingo, game booths for children, ethnic food and beverage booths. Fathers Day car show
Hollister Christian Fellowship will host a Fathers Day car show June 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 2350 Technology Parkway, in Hollister. Monterey Bay Blues Festival
Tickets are on sale for the Monterey Bay Blues Festival, which runs June 24, 25 and 26. Some of the performers include local band the Bornia Boys, as well as Dazz Band and the Barkays, Blues at Eleven, Ruthie Foster, Charlie Jene, Magic Slim, Sharon Lewis and JC Smith Band, Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band and more. Summer movies series
A summer movies series will kick off June 24 at the San Juan Bautista Elementary soccer field, with a viewing of “Megamind.” All viewings are free and start at sunset. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No alcoholic beverages are permitted. The series is a collaboration of the Plaza History Association of San Juan Bautista State Historic Park and the San Juan Elementary home and school club. Earthbound Farms is a sponsor. Other shows include “Raiders of the Lost Ark” on July 29, “Despicable Me” on Aug. 26 and “Vertigo” on Sept. 30.

Early Days
The San Juan Bautista State Historic Park and the Plaza History Association will host Early Days June 25 and 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Step back in time and meet the people of early California, see craft and cooking demonstrations, ride in a horse-drawn wagon and drink old-fashioned sodas in the Saloon. All You can Eat Pancake Breakfast
The Hollister United Methodist Church is holding its 14th annual patriotic “All You can Eat” Pancake breakfast July 2 and 3, from 8 a.m. to noon., at Fifth and Monterey streets. Back to School Run
The Hollister Sabbath Keepers Motorcycle Ministry will be hosting the Back to School Run for San Benito County foster youth. The loop ride will be held July 3, with registration in the Grillin’ and Chillin’ parking lot, 3650 San Juan Road, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The cost for the ride is the donation of one backpack with school supplies for all grades, per bike. Memorial Golf Tournament
San Juan Oaks and Hollister Relay for Life are sponsoring the Kelly Freitas Memorial Golf Tournament July 15, with a shotgun start at noon. The event will benefit Hollister Relay for Life. The format will be a four-person scramble. It includes a steak and chicken barbecue dinner buffet immediately following the tournament. A silent auction will be held during the dinner. The cost for the tournament is $115 per player, and includes green fees, cart, range balls, on course contest and dinner. The price for dinner alone is $35 for adults and $15 for children 5-12. Downtown Street Festival
The 25th annual Street Festival and Car Show is July 16, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in downtown Hollister. Admission is free and guests can also partake in a free slice of watermelon. Jazz Under the Stars
The Sixth annual Jazz Under the Stars outside of St. Benedict’s Church, July 23, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The event will feature the Magnolia Jazz Band, food, wine and a silent auction. Guests must be 21 and over. Presented by the Homeless Coalition of San Benito County, tickets are $50 each. A table for 10 can be reserved for $500 and diamond sponsor tables for 10 are $1,000.
