‘Showcasing Our Local Artists’ show opens

‘The Wall: A Live Tribute’

Take-Down Fundraising Dinner Night

The San Benito High School Wrestling Program will be hosting a buffet-style dinner and dessert Oct. 24, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church Hall, 7290 Airline Hwy., in Tres Pinos. Tickets are $15 a person, or $25 a couple, with proceeds benefiting the wrestling program. The event will also feature a 50/50 raffle. Red Ribbon Run & Festival

The San Benito Behavioral Health will be hosting the 20th anniversary Red Ribbon Run & Festival on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Dunne Park, Seventh and West St. from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Entry fees will be $20 for adults and $10 for children. The Ribbon run will feature the Chicano All Stars and Sammy Ramirez at noon and 1 p.m.. After the run, there will be a Festival with food, entertainment and prizes. Autumn Art Festival

The Autumn Art Festival is in Aromas Grange Hall, on the corner of Rose and Bardue avenues. Workshops on Oct. 25 will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and are offered from one of the artists of the Aromas Hills Artisans. Classes are free, though some have a small materials fee, and attendees will be able to take home what they have created. There is limited time to purchase a raffle ticket to win a piece of artwork donated by AHA Artisans. Doc Severinsen will be doing a special performance in the program “El ritmo de la vida” or “The Rhythm of Life” in support of the Monterey Symphony’s music and education programs on Oct. 25, at Carmel’s Sunset Theater. Brass band concert

The Pacific Brass will present a benefit concert for the San Benito County YMCA at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 at the First Presbyterian Church, 2066 San Benito St. The Pacific Brass is made up of musicians from San Benito, Monterey, Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties. Their repertoire consists of traditional brass band and symphonic music as well as American folk songs, rags, marches and selections from musical theater. The San Benito High School Baler Cheer Squads invite kids ages 5 to 14 to participate in a cheerleading clinic on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mattson gym, located at the high school, off of Nash Road.
