Anyone planning a day at our local wineries with a group of friends should consider booking the chauffeured services of California Passport Tours; a boutique travel and transportation company offering food and wine tasting experiences to local wineries in south Santa Clara Valley and beyond.

Now in its sixth year, California Passport Tours is the brainchild of Ana Lelescu who in 1992, fled Romania to find a life of freedom in America. With her master’s degree in computer science, Lelescu quickly pursued a successful career in high-tech. On her days off, Lelescu enjoyed weekend getaways throughout the Bay Area—including our local wineries. Lelescu thought, “Why not share the joy I find while visiting these beautiful locales with other like-minded people?” And so a new business was born.

A long-time resident of Morgan Hill, Lelescu works closely with our local wineries by offering unique, personalized experiences for both private and corporate groups. Riders enjoy the comforts of a Mercedes minibus, with climate control and WiFi—while leaving the driving to someone else. Chauffeurs are licensed and bonded and provide professional, first-class service.

With a variety of packages, including custom tours—there is something for everyone. One of my favorite times was joining a group of wine lovers to attend Fall Passport—with California Passport taking us to five wineries along the Wine Trail. Free from the responsibilities of driving, we enjoyed a relaxing day of great wine and friendship.
